The New Moon of January 15, 2010 is a total Solar Eclipse in Capricorn. This
brings a general focus to national affairs and the business of the country. In
the chart cast for Washington, D.C., this eclipse at 25º Capricorn falls in the
Third House. The Third House rules all forms of communication and transport;
newspapers, the Post Office, education, and locomotion of all kinds. The house
of a New Moon indicates the subject matters that attract attention. It shows
where there are changes and new developments in the four weeks following. An
eclipse is a more powerful type of New Moon. It has more long-lasting effects.
And, with an eclipse, implications are that the matters ruled by its house
position are vulnerable or out of balance, requiring adjustment. This is due to
the strong Moon Wobble effects
present with eclipses; the close alignment of the Sun and Moon with the lunar
nodes.
An eclipse in a cardinal sign precedes many changes. Here, there are changes
to inland transit, and in the communication and transportation sectors. There is
the creating of new structures. There is an accent to public buildings and
structures associated with communication and transport. There may be increased
attention on borders and neighboring countries. Public opinion tends to be
conservative.
With the eclipse in Capricorn, and with this sign on the Third House cusp,
this suggests government control is connected to transportation. Capricorn rules
government. One way this may play out could be as a result of the near miss last
month when a would-be bomber managed to board a flight into the U.S. even though
he was on a terrorist watch list. This chart suggests increased measures by the
government to ensure this doesn’t happen again. With Venus conjoined with this
eclipse, this shows extra efforts to ensure the security of travelers. This also
suggests government involvement in the nation’s communications, taking
measures to improve the communication lines between information agencies, again
to help ensure national security. What is particularly interesting and fitting
with this theme is that this eclipse falls in the degree of the fixed star
Terebellum: there is some fortune but with regret and disgrace. This fixed star
is associated with a cunning mercenary, and with terrorism, mass death and
violence.
While the symbolism of the fixed star Terebellum might manifest in different
ways following this eclipse, we will, in any case, likely see this emphasis and
focus on travel and communication related matters in many ways for several
months to come. Watch for the possibility of increased accidents, for concerns
about security in these affairs, and for restructuring. As the natural ruler of
such things, Mercury conjoined with Pluto and in square to Saturn also suggests
disturbances; means of transit present problems or legislation affecting these
are hindered or unpopular.

Another way this Third House eclipse in Capricorn plays out is the State of
the Union Address, an annual ceremony and address presented by the president.
This ceremony traditionally takes place in late January but this year there is
debate as to the exactly when. Dates suggested so far have run up against
criticism because they conflict with people’s favorite TV programs! But, this
address by Obama may be of some increased importance and interest whenever it
does take place.
There are some implications for crops to suffer and for a rough time for
agriculture. Weather may also be especially severe, with destructive storms
creating restrictions or breakdowns. It is hard to say just how the
Chiron/Neptune/Jupiter conjunction on the cusp of the Fourth House will play
out, but in Aquarius weather may be cold and wet, changeable or freakish. Land
conditions may be out of the ordinary. Of course earthquakes are one
possibility. Earthquake activity often increases near eclipses and they are more
likely when major planets closely conjoin the lunation Fourth House cusp.
Jupiter is not always the benefit one might think it should be. Please link to Decoding
Earthquakes for more.
According to mundane astrologer H.S. Green, in Mundane
Astrology, an eclipse in an Earth sign is a bad sign for business. The
business world is often disturbed or depressed. This chart, with Saturn square
Pluto, certainly agrees. This is an aspect of hard economic times and in this
chart Pluto falls in the Second House of the nation’s business. There may be a
failure of measures, financial struggles or disputes over financial matters. Retrograde
Mercury in the Second House also indicates discussion on finance; some
review or reflection. There may be new laws or regulations affecting revenue,
trade, and money matters generally, but these tend to be unfortunate and
problematic.
Saturn square Pluto is a strong aspect, with these two slow movers in
conflict all month. Hard aspects between these two outer planets have been a
factor coinciding with political turmoil, wars and power struggles in the past.
Violent or fanatical adversaries may be exposed.
To wrap up, an eclipse in Capricorn mainly affects those individuals who are
prominent in commerce, business, banking, labor and management. Authorities,
established office holders and those of middle age are among those that are most
impacted by these eclipses. Ivy Jacobson says in her book, In
the Beginning Astrology, that the Capricorn eclipses have a greater
impact on the southern portion of the nation. Here, as we are just coming into
this eclipse season, this certainly seems to be the case. Florida has recently
suffered a freakish cold snap, destroying citrus and other crops. More
importantly, Florida has the largest population of Haitians of any state and
they have been quite affected by the massive earthquake in Haiti, unable to get
in communication with their loved ones, resorting to watching TV to get a
glimpse of anyone they know. We see how the themes of this eclipse chart fit
with neighboring Haiti (third house) experiencing mass deaths from the quake.
Relief efforts and help from the U.S. are ongoing (Venus in the Third House),
with money, medical personnel and the deployment of thousands of military
troops. The December
New Moon chart suggested a new program of humanitarian efforts for the needy
and unfortunately the need for these efforts did come about.
In your own chart, note the house where
this eclipse at 25º Capricorn falls. The eclipse brings emphasis to these house
affairs. In the matters ruled by this house you will experience changes and
transformation in the months ahead. If this is one of the angular houses; 1, 4,
7, or 10, the changes will be more dramatic. In that case, one change might lead
to many. If the eclipse falls in alignment with one of your personal planets,
there are changes brewing that are somehow connected to the things or people
signified by the planet. That planet is especially sensitive now to future
transits. My book, Eclipses
helps you decipher how this eclipse will impact you personally, by house
position, and if aligned with a natal or progressed planet, as well as
furnishing you with a table so you know when to expect increased activity. But,
in a general way, with this Capricorn eclipse we are seeking material status and
wealth as a means of gaining emotional security. And, we may be feeling very
ambitious and ready to make changes and work hard to make that happen. With the
influence of Venus, we have the capacity to enjoy hard work. We are ready to set
goals and make commitments. We may enjoy working in partnerships or feel we can
accomplish more that way. Whatever we start now may have long-term effects for
good! This is a New Year, a new decade, and a New Moon, a wonderful time to
write down your hopes and intentions. It’s also a good time to count your
blessings. Wishing you a joyful New Year! Celeste Teal 1/13/2010
Actual Events: Toyota recalls millions of automobiles
due to a sticking accelerator following an investigation into the tragic deaths
of four passengers in late August 2009. They also stopped sales and production
of some of their most popular models until the problem is fixed. (This event
plays right into the theme of the eclipse in the third house and conjoined with
fixed star Terrebellum, associated with concerns about mass deaths.) Republican
Scott Brown elected in Massachusetts to serve in the seat held by Ted Kennedy
for many years. This created a major political upset, taking away the Democrat
majority. (This demonstrates the conservative opinion of the public, indicated
by the eclipse in Capricorn. It demonstrates the political turmoil reflected in
the Saturn/Pluto square.) A monster snowstorm wallops the Washington D.C. and
the mid Atlantic. (This was shown in the heavy planets on the angles in the DC
chart.) A second monster storm strikes February 10, once again canceling airline
flights and closing schools. On the same day, a 3.8 earthquake strikes near
Chicago but no damage was done. The stock market has fallen below the 10,000
mark this past month. (This was suggested by the Saturn/Pluto square) …J.D.
Salinger dies as well as Howard Zinn, two famous American writers. (shown by
this eclipse falling in the third house of writers and on the U.S. Mercury.)
Obama welcomes Dalai Lama for a visit to Washington on February 17,18.
The
New Moon of July 21st is a total Solar Eclipse. This is a powerful
eclipse. While a New Moon shows the climate for the coming four weeks, an
eclipse has more lasting effects and can be stimulated to action months later
when transiting planets form hard aspects to the eclipse degree. This eclipse
receives stimulation in mid October and in mid January 2010. We can make some
determinations from the eclipse chart what kinds of events may come about.
This eclipse falls in the last degree of Cancer, emphasizing
domestic issues. A strong theme is one of reform. Uranus in the First House,
trine the Sun, suggests the promotion of new reforms. Reforms are needed
everywhere it seems. There is economic reform, alternative energy reform, health
care reform, etc. The President may be promoting his favorites while also
dealing with touchy foreign relations and world concerns. It may be a troubling
time for him. Solar eclipses have great bearing on the interests and fates of
political figures and world leaders.
In the chart cast for Washington, D.C., this eclipse falls in
the Fifth House. The house of an eclipse shows where there are new developments.
It implies emphasis and impact, where attention is drawn. It often signifies an
imbalance or problems in the matters of the house and perhaps especially so in
this case due to the South Node conjunction with the Sun and Moon. The Fifth
House is the house of entertainment and pleasure pursuits, places of amusement,
children and their interests, gambling, and speculation in the Stock Market. For
starters, this likely means more bizarre happenings in the world of
entertainment and for entertainers. (Read more by linking to Eclipses
& Celebrity Deaths.)
This eclipse in Cancer tends also to be problematic for the
well being of children, for schools. And, it suggests the ill treatment or
crimes against women. Eclipses in Cancer impact the common people, the working
classes and family life, while the Fifth House is especially related to women
and children. The matters of the Fifth House are getting ready to go through
changes, signified by the Sun and Moon in the 29th
degree. There may be decision-making complications connected to the matters
of the house. This may mean concern about the spread of the H1N1 virus when kids
return to school in August. Notice how the Sun/Moon/South Node/Mercury overlap
to the Sixth House of health. The Fifth and the Sixth houses are particularly
vulnerable with the South Node conjunct their rulers (Moon and Sun).
Since the Stock Market is partially ruled by this same house,
a decline is suggested. All of this comes from the placement of the eclipse in
the Fifth House, especially that the South Node (Dragon’s Tail) conjoins the
Sun. This aspect sometimes falls coincident with catastrophic events or
disasters, bad weather and the like. This total eclipse contains strong Moon
Wobble effects.
In matters of finance, Venus rules the Second House of
national finances and the economy. Venus is closely square Saturn. This augurs
badly for banks, stocks and shares and for the business of the country. These
things are disordered. The aspect suggests falling revenue. This affects social
and family life adversely. Consumer confidence may falter.
We’ve come through a recent period of increased hopefulness
in money matters with Jupiter conjunct Neptune and now may come a shift toward
stark realizations as Jupiter retrogrades. Obama himself may have been under
some illusions with Neptune on his South Node. Now, we hear talk of more
bailouts and whether a second stimulus is needed. It appears we can expect
continued challenges to an economic recovery and in the jobs situation in coming
months. Transiting Saturn is bearing down on several eclipses of 2007, an
indication that the problematic themes shown in those eclipses, described in
chapter 10 of Eclipses,
are reaching maturity.
Saturn is on the cusp of the Seventh House in this eclipse
chart. Saturn in this position is seldom good as this house rules our relations
with other countries. Saturn suggests serious difficulties with other nations.
Pluto in the Tenth House may mean that military questions arise and/or it may
herald the need for an offensive by the U.S. There are national disputes as
well. The Seventh House also governs marriage and divorce. With Saturn here,
afflicting Venus, there are many scandals and divorces.
The Jupiter/Neptune/Chiron trio falls in the Twelfth House of
charitable institutions, hospitals, prisons, asylums, and the like; where people
take refuge for rest, recovery or rehabilitation in order to re-join society.
The trio suggests the introduction of socialistic methods in connection with the
treatment of the poor. Jupiter should bring benefits. But, there may be scandals
or fraudulent crimes in connection with the administration of these
institutions. There are increased crimes in general and many strange deaths.
There could be some benefits or changes that affect workers,
employment or health concerns. This comes from Mercury on the Sixth House cusp,
conjunct the U.S. North Node, with Mercury sextile Mars. Perhaps an effective
vaccine against the H1N1 flu virus will be available by fall. Still, there is a critical
degree on the cusp of the Sixth House, an indicator of stress in connection
with the house matters. There are many discussions about health, employment, and
military affairs.
The fixed star Pleiades,
associated with the weeping sisters, falls on the cusp of the Third House of
communications and transport. With Mars here, this brings an increase in the
airing of news and in speechmaking. But, there may be complications with Mars
conjunct the U.S. Uranus. Venus is also here while afflicted by Saturn, giving
multiple implications. Possibilities are for crimes on railways, accidents; foul
ups or troubles surrounding education, transport or communications, and
difficulties for workers in these sectors.
Looking ahead…the lunar eclipse of August 5th
portends difficulties in the nation, accenting the health and well being of
citizens. This eclipse opposes Obama’s Sun and he has progressed Moon opposing
his Uranus. Some unexpected event may push him to take a stand on an issue…
Then, the New Moon of August 20th falls in the First House, indicating many
changes in the country. Neptune in opposition suggests confusion and disorder.
Neptune also warns to be on guard against plots, schemes, double dealing or
secret attacks. It’s an edgy time in world affairs. Neptune opposite the Sun
suggests threats against the reputation, life or power of some prominent person
or leader. Within a week, there is a formidable configuration in the world point
degrees (Aries Point degrees)
between Mars, Pluto and Mercury. History is in the making. Often with a scenario
like this, one event has a worldwide domino effect. This may threaten domestic
security. Late August is a time to be on guard. Watch as world events escalate,
with likely conflicts.
In your own chart, check the
house where this eclipse at 29 Cancer falls. The eclipse will bring a focus
to these house affairs. There are new developments and changes in this house and
its opposite house. The last lunar eclipse fell at 15 Capricorn and the next
falls at 13 Aquarius on August 5th. Check those placements in your
chart to see which two opposing houses are most affected. My book Eclipses gives
all the information you need to find out what to expect in relation to the house
affairs and it also contains a table of transits to the eclipses, so that you
can monitor when important events are forthcoming. Anyone touched by an eclipse
falling on a natal planet will experience the effects of the eclipse more
personally. An eclipse tends to sensitize the planet and they increase the
reactionary urges in those they touch. Again, you can find out more in Eclipses
and in my latest book, Lunar
Nodes. I think you’ll find the info
enlightening. Until next time, have a safe and happy summer, Celeste Teal

Actual
July/August Events: The White House races to stop a flu pandemic. President
Obama's Health Care Reform plan is a hard sell and runs into blocks. Bill
Clinton goes to North Korea on a mission to save two journalists. He brought
them home. Walter Cronkite, CBS news anchor dies at age 92. Senator
Edward Kennedy dies of brain cancer. There are a rash of fires in
California. Paula Abdul is leaving American Idol.
The
New Moon of January 26th is also a Solar Eclipse. While a New Moon
shows the focus and emphasis of things to come for the following four weeks, an
eclipse is a more powerful New Moon. Themes shown in the eclipse chart extend
beyond the usual four weeks, often extending for several months or more. This
total eclipse falls at 6 degrees of Aquarius.
In the chart cast for Washington, D.C., this eclipse falls in
the 2nd house. Of course this is the house of national finances and
money matters. Going by the rules of Mundane astrology, it is usually the case
that difficulties will arise in the matters of the house where an eclipse falls.
The eclipse points to the kinds of affairs that have become out of balance.
The eclipse shows where changes and new developments must occur in order to
restore the balance. So, here we are now and this eclipse reflects the current
financial situation well. Previous overspending and faulty money management has
contributed to an economic crisis. This is a powerful eclipse in the early
degrees of Aquarius, said by traditional mundane astrologers to bring public
grief and sorrow. The lunar nodes also depict the economic crisis, falling in critical
degrees in financial houses.
Half of the planets fall in the 2nd house. While
the eclipse suggests possible bank failures and troubling concerns in trade and
money matters, there is a good degree of optimism on the part of the people who
have high hopes for newly elected Barack Obama to implement new measures that
will bring stimulation and growth to the economy. These themes are suggested by
Jupiter, which rules the 1st house of the people, in conjunction with the Sun
and Moon. People are financially over-extended however, with Jupiter sesquiquad
Saturn and this aspect also suggests that money matters are difficult, with
possible declines in stocks or shares, and bankruptcies.
With Saturn overhead, in the 10th house, there is a
lot of weight on the new President. He faces difficulties with Saturn in hard
aspect to the Sun. Saturn is also
opposing Venus, which rules the 6th house of workers and employees.
This aspect indicates unemployment concerns and possible unexpected job losses
since Venus is also conjunct Uranus. Saturn in opposition to Venus underscores
themes of disturbances in national finances, with bank and business problems.
There are problems with depreciating property values with afflicted Venus in the
4th house. Taxation of land values may prove problematic. New
legislation or plans affecting homeowners may be under consideration, but some
of these may be hindered or fail due to Jupiter in semi-square to Uranus.
Trouble for strapped homeowners create other problems. Venus conjunct Uranus in
the 4th house suggests family and marital problems, some of which
will show up in the courts.
Saturn opposing Uranus inclines to the current recession and
this is underscored with transiting Pluto opposing the U.S. Venus. This is a
strong aspect during 2009. The first time the aspect comes exact is February 1st.
There are heavy financial burdens. This aspect reflects the financial losses,
frozen money flows, credit crunch, and economic contraction. Pluto in Capricorn
near the 2nd house cusp also indicates changes and restructuring in
economic affairs. Pluto will have a
transforming effect although improvements may come only after difficulty.
We may have to buckle down the next couple of years since the opposition of
Saturn and Uranus doesn’t begin to break up until mid September, followed
closely by Saturn opposing Jupiter next year, also associated with financial
declines. By then, transiting Pluto is approaching an opposition to the U.S.
Jupiter. This may mean challenges to economic growth and expansion.
For now, there are new laws or regulations affecting revenue
with Mercury in the 2nd house. There may be changes in taxation.
Obama may do some decisive cutting of national expenses with Mercury conjunct
Mars in the 2nd house. This could arouse some disputes or arguments.
Saturn in opposition to Uranus, the most angular planets in the chart, indicates
that reforms advocated could meet with resistance or delay. Mercury
retrograde agrees.
It will take all the skills Obama’s team has to make
resources stretch and get the country out of this sticky situation. He is
spending a lot of money (Jupiter conjunct Sun in 2nd house) but will
his stimulus plan be enough to spark a fast turnaround, especially in jobs
created? Venus sextile Mars brings hope. We will likely learn more about his
plan in mid February.
There is a lot of excitability in the air during February,
especially from about the 9th to the 22nd. The Full Moon
of February 9th is a Lunar Eclipse, falling at 21 degrees of Leo.
This is a critical degree,
denoting serious, grave or climactic events and the eclipse falls in the 5th
house of entertainment, amusements, children’s affairs, betting and
speculation. There could be fluctuations in the Stock Market, ruled partly by
the 5th house.
In August, just before the sharp downturn in the Stock Market,
the New York Stock Exchange experienced a Solar Eclipse falling on its
Ascendant, suggesting major changes in the general situation. Major changes did
occur within weeks of that eclipse. Now, as we move toward Valentine’s Day,
that eclipse is stimulated by Mars and Jupiter, a period when we might expect
significant activity or fluctuations once more. (See my book Eclipses,
pg. 202.) Issues of concern from late last summer may be revisited, also
suggested by this January Solar Eclipse opposing that August eclipse. Both
eclipses get significant stimulation in mid February. There are some difficult
combinations. Brace up to deal with obstacles or breakdowns. February also marks
the month that TV reception goes digital, which will require many people to get
converter boxes.
The February lunar eclipse (21 Leo) as well as the South Node
in a critical degree (9 Leo)
falls on or near the Pluto of people born in the late 1940’s and early
1950’s, thus it may be particularly significant for those folks nearing
retirement age. There may be a need to review or restructure financial plans,
especially as they contribute to domestic security.
While the main focus of this eclipse is on economic affairs, in
other areas, there is likely some severe weather ahead with Uranus in the 4th
house. Earthquakes sometimes occur in the months following an eclipse in which
Uranus is near the cusp of the 4th house, especially since the
eclipse falls in Aquarius, a fixed sign, ruled by Uranus. California could see
some of this activity since this eclipse falls on the 4th house Pluto
of the L.A. chart. Link to Decoding
Earthquakes for more information.
Mars ruling the 5th house suggests crimes against
women or children. Similar themes are suggested by an afflicted Moon ruling the
8th house. Mars/Pluto ruling the 12th house also signifies
an increase in crimes.
Saturn in the 10th house and in hard aspect to the
Sun suggests illness or deaths among prominent people. There may also be some
scandals involving government officials.
In your own chart, check the house
where this eclipse at 6 degrees of Aquarius falls. This will bring focus to the
affairs governed by this house in the months ahead. Transformations are
happening. Please refer to my book Eclipses
to interpret an eclipse by house placement, or by falling on a natal planet.
But, in general, be very cautious about going forward with big plans that will
alter your life in the days leading up to and just after the eclipse.
Oftentimes, plans will not proceed as planned. With an eclipse there is some
excitability and disruptive energies coming into the atmosphere that require
some time to settle out. Mercury
is also retrograde until January 31st, another good reason to
take things slow and easy. Agreements made near the time of the eclipse may fall
through or complications may arise. The other party may not be able to follow
through as planned. You can also check to see if either of the transiting lunar
nodes, now at 9 degrees of Aquarius (NN) and 9 degrees of Leo (SN), is going
over one of your natal planets. If so, my latest book, Lunar
Nodes, gives descriptions of likely developments to expect. Wishing you
the best in these challenging times. Celeste Teal 1/24/2009
There
have been several stories revolving around food poisonings, salmonella and
related concerns. (In the NM chart, Venus ruled the 6th house of
public health, and Saturn opposed it.) There have been the unearthing of old
crimes and the exposure of bad characters. This is tied to the 12th
house of the NM chart, ruled by Mars, which indicated increased crimes, as well
as to the 5th house where crimes against women and children were a
potential concern.
The New Moon of August 1st is a Solar Eclipse and
this eclipse falls in the sign Leo. Eclipses in Leo are noted to precede
important events surrounding world leaders. A Leo eclipse brings an accent to
royals, leaders, and to men and women of power. Sometimes there are threats of
death or overthrow for leaders. For example, a Leo eclipse preceded Bill
Clinton’s impeachment troubles, after the 1998 August eclipse fell on his
natal Sun. Leo eclipses are known to excite and to bring sensational events.
They are associated with excess heat, financial expenditures, and increased
taxes.
This Leo eclipse happens to fall prominently in the USA chart
(on the USA Dragon’s Head) and it falls prominently in the natal chart of
President Bush, and in the charts of both presumptive nominees for the White
House. For Bush, the eclipse falls on his Ascendant, his Mercury, and his Pluto.
As outlined in my book, Eclipses,
an eclipse on the Ascendant often precedes a change of location or vocation. So
this eclipse on Bush’s Ascendant correctly anticipates his leave from the
White House before long. With the eclipse falling on his Mercury, this may
impact his communications – his point of view may be tested or
misunderstandings might occur. Or, problems may surround his closest advisors.
For John McCain, the eclipse falls on his Mars. The impact of an eclipse on Mars
can bring physical activity to a peak, however, there is danger from taking on a
heavy workload and attempting too much that can react negatively on the health.
A conflict of some sort often follows an eclipse on Mars. For Obama, the eclipse
falls on his natal Sun, bringing him squarely into the spotlight. In fact, as
described in Eclipses on pg. 172, with Mercury conjunct this Leo eclipse,
there is an accent on a youthful leader of dramatic speech, an apt
description of Obama. Clearly, for the USA, this eclipse brings a focus to
politics, and a change of leadership in the White House.
This eclipse falls in the 1st house in the chart
cast for Washington, D.C., a very strong position for an eclipse, especially
since it is conjunct the Ascendant of the chart. This suggests a great deal of
activity at the Capital. This eclipse and the Ascendant also fall in a critical
degree, increasing the importance of this eclipse in U.S. affairs. This
means that significant changes will follow and they will be of the nature of the
sign. So, again this indicates a change in leadership and if problems are to
arise, they will be along these lines, with troubles or anxieties for
influential or powerful leaders. There's a great deal of political and public
excitement. There is an increase of discussions, speeches, and printed news with
Mercury in the 1st house. There may be political tensions with
feelings running high. Of course the Democratic convention is held in August and
the Republican convention in early September.
Another theme that is fairly emphasized comes from Saturn and
Mars in the 2nd house of the economy and national wealth. These are
the traditional malefic planets, unpleasant indicators in matters of the
economy. The nation’s finances suffer. Banks may be experiencing difficulties
or failures, and the country’s finances are squeezed by unexpected problems.
Themes of economic problems are repeated in the Full Moon chart of August 16th,
also a Lunar Eclipse. There are changes and transitions in U.S. economic
affairs. Questions turn to trade, money matters, and taxation.
The eclipse charts both point to potential hazards relating to
travel. The Lunar Eclipse in mid month especially appears to reflect
travel-related dangers with Mars in the 9th house, squared by Pluto.
The other matters ruled by this house include shipping, foreign affairs,
religious affairs, and coastal conditions. One or more of these areas may prove
problematic.
Venus in the 1st house, in opposition to Neptune,
is rather an unfortunate indicator for marriages. The aspect suggests scandals,
separations or divorces, some which might be high profile. There may be social
and family scandals.
Both eclipse charts show the possible death of a statesman or
prominent figure. The Lunar Eclipse in particular has the Sun in the 8th
house, conjunct the South Node, and opposing Neptune. The life of a prominent
person may be in danger, with death or sacrifices in upper circles.
In the Solar Eclipse chart, Uranus falls in the 8th
house, associated with sudden or unexpected deaths in strange ways, sometimes by
accident or suicide. There is definitely potential for sudden violent events
with both Mars and Uranus in square to the U.S. Mars while in opposition to one
another. It seems that some circumstances may have an element of the unreal
about them with the Moon conjunct Neptune in the Lunar Eclipse chart. The
sympathies of people are aroused and the emotions are sensitive.
Eclipses have longer lasting effects than a simple New Moon,
so this emphasis on changes impacting world leaders will be noticed for some
time. For the U.S., this Leo Solar Eclipse receives stimulation from the Sun in
late October, just before Election Day in early November. This Leo eclipse also
falls in conspicuous places in the charts of Israel, Iraq, Afghanistan, France,
and Russia.
In
your own chart, check the house where 9
degrees of Leo falls. With the eclipse stimulation, this house will become a
focus of your attention in the coming months. There are changes and
transformations occurring in the matters and surrounding the people ruled by
this house. Of course Leo is a very creative sign so you may be putting forth a
lot of creative efforts in this house. It’s a time to put your best foot
forward. Check to see how the eclipse aspects your other planets. It is of some
special importance if it falls in conjunction or in opposition to one of your
natal or progressed planets. There is very personal significance when this
happens because the eclipse stimulates to action the qualities and nature of the
planet and the kinds of activities associated with the planet will become more
emphasized in your life, calling for attention. See Eclipses
for help interpreting this eclipse in your chart. The Lunar Eclipse on August 16th
falls at 24 degrees of Aquarius, so be sure to check the
house position of that eclipse as well. Fluctuations and changes lie ahead.
It is generally recommended to refrain from making major life-altering changes
in the days leading up to an eclipse or in the days right after one. The
atmospheric influences are too unstable for plans to stabilize. Wait until a
little after mid August to carry out important plans or changes. This will allow
the planetary energies to settle down. This should especially be applied to the
affairs of the house where either eclipse falls. Wishing you a happy pair of
eclipses! Celeste Teal 7/28/2008
The
New Moon of February 6th is a Solar Eclipse and this eclipse falls at
17 degrees of Aquarius.
Unlike a regular New Moon, which has effects lasting only
four weeks, an eclipse is more far-reaching in its effects. Eclipses have been
utilized as a favorite tool by astrologers from the earliest of times to
determine the potential effects on mundane affairs, according to the sign of the
eclipse and other variables. Each of these are discussed in my book,
Eclipses,
so I won’t go into them all here, but one
thing that eclipses have in common is that they announce changes coming due.
With this eclipse in Aquarius, an Air sign, we are looking at sociological
changes.
In the chart cast for Washington, D.C., this eclipse falls in
the Fourth House and it falls in the same degree as the USA Moon, or conjunct
the USA Moon. Therefore, developments and changes are very personal for the
American people. Changes impact the “common people” and the working classes.
Everyday domestic conditions are a top concern. An eclipse in the Fourth House
suggests dealing with unfavorable conditions relating to general living
conditions, housing, land, crops, agriculture and mines. Troublesome questions
arise here and changes are due. The success and welfare of the nation is at
stake. Often, with an eclipse in the Fourth House, there is ill feeling between
the people and their government. This house is opposite the house ruling the
president and government, so the government faces opposition. Thus, this can
lead to the downfall or discredit of someone of high ranking or it can lead to
political upsets.
Other planets join closely with this eclipse. Mercury is only
one degree away and although Mercury is retrograde at the time of the eclipse,
this closeness gives Mercury increased power to influence affairs and it adds to
the message coming from this eclipse. First of all, it emphasizes these Fourth
House themes and suggests that much discussion is devoted to the domestic woes
and property issues and ways to resolve them. There is a review of these matters
with much talk and debate. Legislation is involved but with Mercury
retrograde there are possible delays getting bills passed. Fortunately
Saturn’s placement in the Eleventh House in trine to Jupiter helps with
progress when it comes to passing economic or money-related bills. That Saturn
to Jupiter aspect is connected with financial aid from the government, like the
economic stimulus package. (Click image to view chart,
then use your back button.)
This Mercury placement so near the eclipse also suggests that
there is an outspoken individual with a dislike of hypocrisy, who promotes group
ideals, and who may take the spotlight, having a big influence on the people.
Political speechmaking is noted with this Mercury in Aquarius and since people
are now impacted at such personal levels by how the country is run, including
their very foundations and security, they take great interest in the political
candidates and a chance to have a voice this election year. Chiron
in the Fourth shows a search for basic security. The Aquarius themes suggest
uniting voices, getting involved in political causes to benefit the lot.
Neptune also falls in the Fourth House, conjunct Sun and Moon,
and in a critical degree,
which adds to the agitation and seriousness of Fourth House issues, like land
values and domestic life, but it also means added excitement and fluctuation of
people’s political leanings. The Moon rules the public and Neptune sensitizes
them. Due to uncertainty or confusion, people waver back and forth and may end
up voting on a hunch or intuition more than on practical analysis. They may have
some rather idealistic expectations, but Mars trine Neptune assists democratic
movements. So, again it becomes clear how every voice counts and does make a
difference. This chart, with the ruling Venus in Capricorn, conjunct Jupiter and
sextile Uranus, promotes and benefits the interests of women generally, and
could give Hillary an edge.
Weather conditions are shown by the Fourth House and through
the Third House as far as losses caused by storms. The Fourth House contains
planets in Air signs and Capricorn on the cusp so this may mean windy and cold
conditions, though weather is changeable and there may be foggy conditions.
Pluto in the Third House could mean losses due to storms, especially since it
opposes Mars. Mars in the Ninth may also mean storms around the coast or
problematic coastal conditions. Some parts of the world may experience
earthquakes. Eclipses in fixed signs can produce earthquakes, although this is
more common in locations where the eclipse aligns with the Fourth House cusp,
like parts of South America for this eclipse.
Pluto in the Third House in a critical
degree appears to be related to how crucial it is for an economic stimulus
package to actually do what it’s supposed to. The Third House relates to the
general marketplace, the first place signs of stimulus would be seen. Pluto is
closely connected to financial matters and also rules the Second House of this
chart, reflecting how the nation’s economic affairs hinge on increased trade
and commerce.
The Third House has multiple planets and indicators. This is
the house of locomotion, communication, news and information and all of the
means utilized to pass along information as well as all the various forms of
locomotion. This would include such facilities as the post office, phone
companies, internet, TV, newspapers and modes of transportation; trains, cars,
buses, and so on. Pluto in this house suggests big changes in these affairs, and
it is in Capricorn, the sign of big business. I find I can’t fathom or
decipher this totally. But, there should be big news having to do with changes
of a business nature that revolves around communication or transportation. This
could be a company take-over, sell out, or business changes of historical note
in these sectors. There are likely multiple developments. In general, this
position of Pluto in this historic degree and in the Third House, suggests
monumental news of events that will go down in the history books.
Jupiter in the Third House brings an increase in traveling
although travel conditions are not ideal. Education, literature and science
experiences some benefits of this placement. It is a very busy time in
publishing circles and for journalists. Postal workers reap some benefits, like
pay raises or improved conditions. The other fortune planet, Venus, is also in
the Third House, adding to these themes and increasing publications connected
with art and women’s interests.
Venus is sextile Uranus in the Fifth House of entertainment
and this suggests successful negotiations can be reached that will bring an end
to the screenwriter’s strike. Uranus here in the Fifth House can mean some
unusual or unexpected events connected with entertainers or in any arena where
pleasurable activities are pursued. But, the aspects aren’t bad. In fact,
there may be more good news for a change. Children and their interests may also
see some improvements or progressive trends.
In many ways, this eclipse has some upbeat and encouraging
features. Energy, vitality and activity are infused into the country and it is
fortunate for democratic and popular movements. There are benefits for those
being governed, and a progressive outlook as people look forward.
In your own chart, note the
house where this eclipse at 17 degrees of Aquarius falls. This house, and
the affairs and people it rules, will attract much of your attention. Changes
and new developments are coming due relating to these matters. Themes connected
with this house will be a focus for the coming months, while circumstances and
conditions will be in a state of transformation. You think much about the future
possibilities and the best way to bring improvements to the affairs governed
under this house. You may feel anxious to get started and to initiate changes
right away. However, during the several days right before and after an eclipse,
the atmosphere is charged with dynamic but destabilizing eclipse energy, so that
actions can have unexpected results. For this reason, it is generally
recommended to refrain from making major life-altering changes in the days
leading up to an eclipse or in the days right after one. This tip should
especially be applied to making life-altering decisions relating to the affairs
of the house where the eclipse falls. This is for your own good and to perhaps
save you some regrets down the road. Keep in mind also that Mercury
is retrograde until February 18th. A lunar eclipse falls on
February 20th at 1 degree of Virgo. So, by near month’s end all
this eclipse energy is settling out and it is appropriate to carry on as you
have gained some clarity and insight you didn’t have before. (You can see more
about this lunar eclipse in my book.) Wishing you all the best! Celeste Teal

The
New Moon of September 11th is a Solar Eclipse, occurring in 18
degrees of Virgo. In the chart cast for Washington D.C., this Solar Eclipse
falls in the Twelfth House. This is often a problematic eclipse, reflecting a
weakened position for the government, with some drawback, loss or trouble unless
the NM forms favorable aspects. Here, minor aspects of NM to Jupiter and Neptune
indicate some general confusion and trouble for the government as well as
unpopularity for the president. An opposition to Uranus, the closest aspect,
suggests that friends are lost, enemies made, or hostilities are incurred. This
may be through an autocratic use of power or due to unpopular changes and
reforms. Some false step could result in unexpected trouble. According to
Raphael, an eclipse in this degree of Virgo is associated with sedition; in
other words, provocation for a rebellion. Another closely applying aspect is the
square to Mars, indicating trouble at home and/or with other countries. There
are disputes and quarrels. Crime threatens society or the government and the
country may be in danger from secret enemies.
A Twelfth House eclipse brings a focus to facilities and
agencies that operate in seclusion. This house has special significance over
prisons, crime, criminals and reformatories. It also rules hospitals, retirement
homes and charitable institutions. It governs spy agencies, like the CIA, and
the Secret Service, as well as the nation’s secret enemies. Changes and
developments take place in these matters and the aspects denote some trouble.
Mercury in the Twelfth suggests secret discussions connected to these matters.
Whatever is going on, Mercury is nearing the First House cusp
in Libra, so people are interested and are in an intelligence gathering mode,
taking in information and processing it. Ideas and talk developing behind the
scenes soon become public knowledge. This is a busy time for all activities
ruled by Mercury. There’s an increase in speechmaking, public meetings and
discussions, and media coverage of all the various developments. Newspapers,
publishing, education and science thrive. The people are attracted to all this
news and literature and inclined to study, taking increased interest in
developments. There is also an increase of gossip and rumors, however, so it may
be a task to separate truth from fiction. Venus, ruling the people, suggests by
her aspects that the body public is enthralled by material comforts, somewhat
used to a charmed existence, a bit indulgent but now overburdened, and hopes to
avoid gloomy news, but is easily influenced and prone to being misled. Of
course, political campaigning is in swing, and the Post Office busier than usual
delivering election propaganda. Jupiter expands the activities of the house it
falls in and the Third House is the house of information, news, and all forms of
communication, so Jupiter emphasizes similar themes as the prominent Mercury.
Interestingly, this September eclipse occurs shortly after the USA Mars Return,
usually a time that energies are running high, further testimony of a high level
of excitement in the country.
Uranus in the Sixth House picks up a theme suggested by Mars
square Sun, indicating political discussion surrounding military affairs. There
may be trouble brewing here according to the ill aspects of Uranus. This house
rules the national services, Army, Navy, police, public health matters and the
general working classes. Sudden or unexpected trouble arising for the government
may come from here. This position of Uranus and its aspects suggests some
emergency situation or developments that could lead to rebellion in the ranks.
Certainly the outlook is for foreign affairs to be complicated and troublesome,
which could put pressure on the troops.
Mars in the Ninth House, square Uranus and opposing Pluto,
suggests potential accidents or trouble affecting shipping (including importing
and exporting), and storms along the coasts. This house governs long distance
travel and communication as well as immigration, and Mars denotes increased
activity and usually a measure of trouble connected to the house it falls in.
The nice aspect of Venus to Mars helps somewhat although with Mars opposing
Pluto in the Third House, ruling all means of inland transit, travel accidents
or safety may be of concern with preventive measures to shore up and repair
roadways and travel routes, suggested by Saturn trine Pluto. Some good can come
here.
There’s a critical
degree on the cusp of the Fourth House and Saturn rules this house. The
Fourth House governs housing and building operations and Saturn’s conjunction
with South Node suggests a low point for such matters, maybe a most critical
point for the suffering housing market and the high number of foreclosures.
In other areas, the entertainment world of actors, singers and
athletes may be a whirl in scandals, with Neptune, the planet of shock and
sorrow, in the Fifth House opposed by Venus. Some may be facing deceptions in
love. Venus opposing Neptune is also associated with financial frauds and
liabilities for loss while the Fifth House governs gambling and speculation.
Political affairs and relations with allies may be tangled,
disorganized or problematic with Saturn conjunct South Node in the Eleventh
House and Venus there opposed by Neptune. The Eleventh House rules many things;
the nation’s allies, the Legislature, the VP, the Treasury, and the Stock
Exchange as an organization, while the aspects suggest trouble of some sort
affecting the matters of this house.
On a brighter side, travel increases and the sextile of
Mercury and Jupiter favors peace and goodwill among the people generally.
Charitable organizations and movements in particular are likely to benefit.
This eclipse chart has a critical
degree on the Midheaven, where the Sun of the USA and the Sun of President
Bush falls, so it is quite a significant eclipse for the country. The Solar Eclipse
chart prior to 9-11-01 also had a critical degree on the Midheaven and it was a
Twelfth House eclipse, so the theme appears to be of concerns about secret
enemies. Falling on the the same day of the week as the events in September 01,
this eclipse actually occurs near the same time of day as the attacks, seeming
to suggest extra reminders of that day unlike on previous anniversaries. Events
arising from an eclipse may come about some time after the eclipse however. An
eclipse has a longer life span than a regular New Moon. Having said that, this
eclipse appears to get off to a rip-roaring start, based on eclipse planet
contacts to the previous Cancer Ingress, likely with the airing of important
news within days.
This eclipse also falls on planets or points in the charts of
Canada, Iran, North Korea, Mexico, and the NYSE, indicating an eclipse of some
importance for those countries and that organization as well.
In your own horoscope, note which house
this eclipse falls in. The eclipse energy brings increased focus to this house.
Your attention will be attracted to those matters and to the people associated
with that house. You may feel inspired to take action. There is exciting
potential and new beginnings relating to this house. If the New Moon falls on
one of your planets, it will energize the planet and the things related to the
planet. The house ruled by the planet is also open for changes or improvements
and you may feel excitement or anticipation regarding the new possibilities.
Since it is usually recommended to hold off on making major decisions or life
altering changes around the time of an eclipse, this is something to keep in
mind. To learn more about how to work with eclipses falling in important places
in your chart, please refer to my book Eclipses,
where each eclipse to 2012 is discussed. Best wishes, Celeste Teal 9/7/2007
The
New Moon of March 18th is a Solar Eclipse falling at 28 degrees of
Pisces. In a chart cast for Washington D.C., this eclipse falls in the Fifth
House. According to the rules of mundane astrology, an eclipse in this house is
unfortunate for theaters, for places of amusements and entertainment, and for
those who work in these industries. It is likewise unfortunate for children and
their interests, brings concerns about crimes against women and children, and it
attaches to trouble affecting the upper classes. Certainly with the difficult
aspects to this New Moon, trouble is brewing in the affairs ruled by the Fifth
House. This house governs speculation and the Stock Market as well. The matters
of this house come into focus and important developments occur.
Even with all of this attention to the Fifth House affairs,
there is an even greater amount of planetary energy influencing the Fourth
House, which governs several important matters, including living conditions,
housing, real estate investments, and weather conditions affecting the lands.
Mars and Neptune are conjunct on the cusp. This conjunction
combined with the opposition from Saturn to these planets has several
connotations. This could bring storms for the government or storms affecting the
lands, or both. Mars is associated with fires affecting homes, accidents in
mining, and disruptive ill effects to the matters of the house it falls in. So
near the cusp and in aspect to several planets, there could be earthquakes or
other natural disasters, wildfires and storms in general. Conditions appear
troublesome for home and landowners, for agriculture and crops. Building
operations are hampered and property markets suffer and with USA Moon on the
cusp of the Fourth, this could have a widespread impact on homeowners. With
Mercury in the Fourth House, this calls for a great deal of attention and
discussion about these matters.
The opposition of Saturn and Neptune is associated with
failures of an economic sort. It can also adversely affect stocks and
investments and here Neptune rules the Fifth House of speculation. Since there
are other indicators of potential problems affecting the economy, with Pluto in
the Second House of banking institutions, in square to the Fifth House NM,
whatever is going on, there appear to be financial repercussions.
Pluto brings complications and changes to the house it resides
in, and here it is the house of savings and loan institutions.
It is fortunate that Jupiter also falls in the Second House; it is strong
in its own sign, and in trine to Saturn and sextile Mars will help offset
potential economic woes. However, Jupiter’s square to Uranus suggests some
unusual or expected financial concerns while its sesquiquad to Venus also
indicates adverse influences upon money matters.
Uranus is “in
the degree of the nodes” and conjunct the North Node, a combination that
tends to be revolutionary, expansive, and having shock value. Uranus is placed
in the Fourth House, which it also rules, but close to the cusp of the Fifth
House, thus this erratic, random, and unpredictable energy appears to have a
foothold in both those houses. This could add to the excitement in the Fifth
House, possibly producing an increase in speculative ventures, or a volatile
stock market, but also having effects in the Fourth House. It may indicate a
link between the affairs of the two houses; that housing markets impact the
stock market. We will have to see what evolves. When a planet occupies the degree
of the nodes it often reflects upon a disturbance to the functioning of that
planet and relative to its position, frequently resulting in upheaval or
calamity.
Since an eclipse has a longer duration than a regular New
Moon, the Uranus placement with the node continues to hold importance and events
connecting to it may play out in coming months. Uranus retains this more than
usual unpredictability factor due to involvement with the nodes, which heightens
its influence. In fact, the eclipse chart indicators may take months to play out
fully although they will begin to be noticeable soon after the eclipse, within a
month.
Neptune in the Fourth House and in aspect to other planets
arouses a great deal of political feeling, fluctuations in the public opinion
and this likely gives trouble to the government and in national affairs. Saturn
opposes Neptune from the Tenth House, bringing delay and confusion into the
nation, while Saturn’s position on the Midheaven puts pressure on the
president, who finds aggressive energy directed toward him. Much opposition
toward governing execs; failure or discredit attaches to prominent persons.
There is so much activity in this chart, it is difficult to
sort it all out, so let’s just do a quick review of each house: When a house
holds no planets, it is found mainly through a study of the ruler of the house
as to the climate of the associated affairs. Taking either Mars or Pluto to be
the First House ruler, both planets form difficult aspects, an indication that
the public is ready for a change and having many dissatisfactions. The Second
House of the national economy has mixed indicators as mentioned earlier;
definitely some troubling aspects. The Third House of communications, transport
and general trade is variable, showing difficulties; a falling off of trade
perhaps, and losses due to storms. The Fourth House of land, crops, agriculture,
property markets, and weather conditions is questionable as to any good;
conditions are stormy. The Fifth House of speculation, entertainment,
entertainers, children and their interests as well as high society matters are
stressed. The Sixth House of the national health and general well being
indicates problems but with efforts to resolve them. The Seventh House, of
International affairs, shows hope and possibly some improving situation,
however, not without some “issues”. The Eighth House of investment income,
interest rates, and taxes shows discussion, however, with USA Uranus falling on
this cusp it is another sign of potentially volatile factors impacting economic
matters. The Ninth House of long distance travel and communication, immigration
and religious affairs is troubled. The Tenth House of the president and
governing execs shows great pressure; both planets that signify the president
are seriously afflicted. The Eleventh House of the legislative branches, the VP
and the nation’s allies is variable; some cloudy issues, and some trouble
coming from Black Moon Lilith.
The Twelfth House of hospitals, convalescent centers, prisons and other
rehabilitation institutions are under the direction of Venus, who does her best
to better conditions, but calls for funding to do so, and possibly brings about
scandals in connection with those running these facilities.
As an adjunct to the foregoing, Mars rules the Sixth House,
with Aries on that cusp, the house that governs over military affairs. Mars
signifies problems impacting the affairs of this house. Mars opposition to
Saturn and semi-square to the Sun suggest hazardous conditions and discontent in
connection with the army. So, something quite interesting and applicable is that
mundane astrologers of old suggest that an eclipse in the last portion of the
sign Pisces is associated with inhumanity to soldiers. Given that attention has
begun to focus on the ill treatment of wounded soldiers in army hospitals, such
as Walter Reed Army Medical Center, this eclipse suggests that this situation
will entail attention to bring these conditions to rights in the coming months
at these facilities around the country. It is helpful that Venus as a benefic
planet falls in the Sixth House and strong in her own sign, attempts to restore
harmony.
In
your own chart, note the house where this
eclipse falls. This is an area that is undergoing changes. There is increased
activity in the matters ruled by this house. Attention is focused here as
transformations are taking place. Due to the square from Pluto, it may require
extra effort to effect changes to your satisfaction. Your strength and
resilience may be tested in the associated affairs as you work to overcome
blocks or obstructions. Start early and do not underestimate the task ahead.
Check to see how the eclipse aspects your natal planets. If the eclipse falls on
or opposite one of your personal planets, this eclipse is of heightened
importance for you and you can check in my book, Eclipses, to find out the
kinds of personal changes to be ushered in. The book also covers the effects of
eclipses in each house and gives more detail on the 2007 eclipses. Wishing you
the best, Celeste Teal 3/15/2007
On September 22nd we have a Solar Eclipse
occurring. While a New Moon chart shows indications for the
coming four weeks, a Solar Eclipse is more powerful and gives indications
lasting longer than the usual 28 days. A lot of times, Mars stimulates and
brings manifestations signified by the eclipse when it transits the eclipse
degree, either by conjunction or opposition. There are many things going on in
our world these days. It seems one news story breaks before the last one has
even been assimilated. This trend continues now as Mars stimulates previous
eclipses at the same time this new one occurs.
This eclipse falls in the sign Virgo. The sign of the eclipse,
significant for the world, emphasizes matters relating to employment, health,
the national services and civil service workers. An eclipse in an earth sign may
disturb crops while business and trade may be depressed. An eclipse in a mutable
sign (like Virgo), often brings minor problems from various directions. Labor or
employment problems could arise for example, and travel accidents are more
common.
By house position, the eclipse falls in the Twelfth House in a
chart cast for Washington, DC, bringing a focus to hospitals, prisons,
reformatories and charitable institutions. Trouble may fall here; lack of
support, criticism or scandals surrounding those officials overseeing such
matters. There may be confusion in connection with charitable movements or
organizations. This house also has rule over facilities operating in secret
(like the CIA), and has a connection to pharmaceuticals, oil, poisons, water and the oceans.
Attention may be drawn to such matters.
An eclipse in the Twelfth House often brings a drawback or
some misfortune for the government, as this is a weak position for the Sun.
Having the eclipse fall in the 29th
degree is further verification of this. Decision-making regarding the
matters of the house becomes complicated and may be flawed or late.
Secret enemies also come under rule of the Twelfth House and the country
may be dealing with hostilities overseas. There is danger of plots by secret
enemies. The matters of the Twelfth House become fuzzy and vague, though changes
and developments are forthcoming.
One of the most dynamic placements we see is Mars conjunct the
Ascendant. This position of Mars usually coincides with some degree of
discontent among the people since the First House rules the people of a country
and shows the general conditions in the country. And, it’s in a social,
intellectual sign – Libra, in detriment for Mars, slightly troubling or
argumentative in relations at home and abroad. There may be quarrels and
disagreements at home or with other countries.
Some strain may arise in connection with a foreign relation or issues
could arise due to secret hostilities between the US and another nation.
National affairs and politics may be somewhat confusing and
quite noisy. Mars with Mercury increases public excitement and high feelings.
Military affairs attract attention as well as dealings surrounding the civil
services. We see that disorganizing Uranus falls on the cusp of the Sixth House,
which indicates surprising developments that may impact the working classes, the
nation’s health, or the national or civil services agencies. Sudden or
unexpected trouble is suggested by Mars inconjunct Uranus; calling for
adjustments. Jupiter trine Uranus helps the government deal with emergencies
that would arise although heavy expenses may be incurred.
Saturn suggests obstacles for the government generally, so
that September and October may find the president facing hindrances,
restrictions and things going awry. Public relations require careful handling.
The Sun and Moon form no helpful aspects but only minor or
weak aspects of a problematic nature, however with the close semi-square to
Jupiter in the Second House along with Jupiter’s square to Saturn and Neptune,
the combination suggests general financial disturbances. Trade is
disturbed, there’s a decline in revenue, a sluggish economy or increased
bankruptcies. Losses may come from financial speculations.
As Lord of the eclipse, Mercury falls in the First House and
forms some nice aspects. In mutual reception with Venus, peace, goodwill and
charity are increased. This helps maintain poise and established conditions.
All things connected to Mercury are increased. Writing,
speeches, publishing, communication and movement are all increased. Publications
of a mystical nature may do well or gain attention. Pluto in the Third House
brings attention to Pluto’s name change; now deemed a dwarf planet. Just the
same, its position in the Third House while square the Sun, Moon, and Venus is
somewhat complicating for transit and communications systems. Mishaps or
financial obstructions may arise in these sectors.
Neptune in the Fifth House indicates possible scandals in
theatrical circles, involving artists, actors, musicians or entertainers.
Nevertheless, there are imaginative movements in art or music. This position
suggests an increase in gambling, betting or speculation; not necessarily wins.
The degree of the last Solar eclipse of March 06, 8 degrees of
Aries, falls on the Descendant of this eclipse chart. Ruling that house and the
last Solar eclipse, Mars rises in this chart, stimulating that recent eclipse as well as
stimulating the Libra Solar Eclipse of last year. March’s Solar Eclipse was
quite dynamic. Link to review
the kinds of manifestations this Mars stimulation might now bring forth. Both of
those previous Solar eclipses fell in the First House in a chart calculated for
our Capital, marking a period of important changes for our country. There is a
parting with the past as circumstances encourage a new way of life. The Libra
eclipse suggested changes affecting the tranquility and sociability of the
people, as it also emphasized relations among countries. This Mars stimulation
could easily create havoc in an already rocky relationship, whether in world
affairs or of a personal nature. Tact and diplomacy promotes harmony.
This Virgo Solar Eclipse highlights the charts of Afghanistan,
Iran, and the White House. We’ve been hearing more from Iran’s president
since the SE of March fell on the Sun of the Iran chart, and now with this new
eclipse stimulating Iran’s Mercury, there may be more talk, debate or
communications.
In your own chart, note the house
this Virgo eclipse falls in. That house and related affairs and people are coming into
a period of transformation. This eclipse has special importance for those with
Cancer or Leo rising. See pages 40 - 41 of my new book, Eclipses,
Predicting World Events & Personal Transformation for more about that. Also for those with
birthdays falling September 19th to 25th or March 18th to the 22nd, this eclipse is quite
dynamic, denoting important decisions to be made in the year ahead.. If you were
born early in October or late in March, you may also notice a trend of eventful
happenings around the time of this new eclipse on September 22nd. If the eclipse falls on one of your
planets, see what that means for you in Part Three of my book. It gives
descriptions for eclipses falling in the various houses, in alignment with a
planet, on an angle, and much more. Best Wishes for a happy eclipse! Celeste Teal 9/12/2006
The
New Moon of March 29th is a Total Solar Eclipse falling at 8 Aries
35. An eclipse has a duration that is longer than an ordinary New Moon. Charting this eclipse for Washington DC, it falls in the First House, so we
have double Aries connotations since Aries is the natural ruler of that house. A
dynamic eclipse. In a mundane chart, the First House symbolizes the general
conditions in a country and for its people, including prosperity and health. It
shows the face of the nation. An eclipse announces changes and shows where so
this is an important eclipse for the US. The developments coming due and the
kinds of people most impacted are usually of the nature of the sign of the
eclipse and it’s ruling planet.
Aries
is a Cardinal sign. Eclipses in a Cardinal sign are associated with trouble for
the government or people, trouble in foreign affairs, or at times, great
political changes.
Aries
is ruled by Mars, which becomes Lord of the eclipse. Mars is associated with war
and the movement of armies. This eclipse brings an emphasis to changes affecting
the military and those engaged in Mars-ruled occupations. Mars is also
associated with fevers, illness, epidemics, fires, heat, drought and accident
conditions. Sensational events often follow an eclipse in a Fire sign and
national problems producing anxiety are apt to be of a Mars nature.
In
this chart Mars is in the Third House, near the cusp of the Fourth House. We
know that an eclipse is more far-reaching than a simple New Moon and that all of
the events signified in an eclipse chart do not all occur within the month
following the eclipse but extend for many months. By Mars house position, this
eclipse forewarns of a potentially destructive fire season in the months ahead.
The Third House is connected to losses through storms and weather conditions. So
near the Fourth House cusp and with multiple aspects, there are stormy
conditions of various sorts, but in an Air sign, windy conditions could make
fire hazards higher. By Mars aspect to both Venus and Neptune, wet weather also.
Overall, there could be wet, windy and wild weather. (Click image to view the
chart, then hit your back button.)
With
Mars in the Third House and the sign of Gemini, which naturally corresponds with
that house, we can assume that there is increased activity relating to transport
and communication. People are traveling more and doing lots of networking.
In this house, Mars increases the potential for accidents or problems
connected to these. Mars is within a degree of the fixed star Bellatrix, noted
to be of a Mars/Mercury influence, associated with accidents. Due to the
applying opposition of Mars to Pluto as well, there are danger of accidents or
fires connected with railways, motor, river traffic or aviation. Problems
affecting communications could occur. Near the
Fourth, fires in public buildings are a possibility.
The
fixed star Bellatrix is also noted to be “talkative”. The USA is having its
Mars Return near the time of this eclipse, so it is very noisy and energy is
running high. There is excitability in the press and complications in
Washington, where opposition and controversy is strongly felt. This is an aspect
of new beginnings and initiatives and this could be relating to homeland and
security concerns. Disfavor of policies by many; outrage, riots or excitable
meetings. Immigration reforms and border control remain hot topics and there may
be continued focus on the mining industry, new regulations or reforms. With dual
Gemini on the cusps of the Third and Fourth houses, there are many and multiple
issues to be dealt with.
Mars
also forms some beneficial aspects. It’s trine to Venus in the Twelfth House
shows increased aid for the needy. There is a lot of planetary activity in the
Twelfth House of public institutions. This house rules facilities that operate
in seclusion, like hospitals and prisons. Perhaps distress or high expenses
necessitates changes. Mercury here denotes many discussions about these matters.
This eclipse falls in the degree of the fixed star Algenib, associated with
ill-health. The ruler of the eclipse chart is Neptune and it falls in the Twelfth House
and on the US Moon. With all these, it is likely that concerns over the avian
flu will continue or escalate. The Twelfth House has rule over epidemics and the
Aries Ingress chart plays up potential for health concerns with
retrograde Saturn in detriment and rising in that chart while ruling the Sixth
House of public health. Still, Saturn shows a long-enduring and progressive
attitude of the people in spite of any difficulties. Saturn is opposing Chiron
in the Ingress chart. It is in the Seventh House of foreign affairs. With
Neptune there as well, there may be double-dealing and it's a good time to be
aware of secret plots. Some of this mystery and intrigue may also involve
national matters.
All
the activity in the eclipse Twelfth House also plays up themes of increased
crimes, scandals and frauds, some of which could be very surprising. Mercury
there may also signify secret meetings about secret enemies.
Saturn
is never altogether easy where it falls and here in the eclipse chart we see it
in the Fifth House, maybe signifying the death of someone in theatrical circles.
This Saturn can lower the birth rate or signify trouble or ills affecting women
and children.
Some gloom over the social side of the nation or a failure associated with this
house may occur. Entertainment venues and amusements aren’t so successful. The
semi-square of Sun to Venus suggests similar themes.
The
semi-square of Sun to Venus doesn’t bode well for finance, trade or prosperity
and the square to Venus from Jupiter can also affect money matters adversely.
There
are no critical degrees occupied in this chart but Saturn is in the degree of
the nodes, a condition that sometimes brings a catastrophe. The last time Saturn
fell in the degree of the nodes in an eclipse chart brought the failure of the
electrical power grid in 03 and an Internet virus that interfered with traffic, costing Microsoft and the
public millions. At that time Saturn was in Gemini. Now it’s in Leo, more
indicative of problems of the Fifth House matters impacting children's
interests, or for some person of prominence and leadership. We'll have to see
how this Saturn in the degree of the nodes plays out. Jupiter in
the Eighth house of death also sometimes signifies the death of a prominent
person.
Saturn’s
trine to the eclipse does help the government to hold their own against any
troubles that may arise. Although it doesn’t necessarily give them popularity
they retain power. There is a struggle between the government and the masses and
the square of Jupiter to Neptune introduces confusion and misunderstandings in
political, legal and religious affairs. That aspect disturbs peace and order but
Jupiter’s trine to Uranus helps maintain it. In any case, the Aries Solar
Ingress chart reflects sudden unexpected trouble for Bush, as does the eclipse
chart, by aspects to the Midheaven and its rulers. His health or safety may be in
danger or he has health and safety matters on his mind. This is an unpopular and difficult period for him.
Scientific
invention and discoveries are favored. Mining, building and occupations ruled by
Saturn are helped by the trine to Sun but hindered by the semi-square to Mars.
While
events stemming from this eclipse begin to transpire very soon due to its house
position, the most challenging effects are not apparent until September, as Mars
transits in opposition to the eclipse degree.
In
your personal chart, find the house
where this Solar Eclipse falls. There are
changing conditions in this house. The matters and people of this house are in
the limelight and there are new energies coming in that are magnifying their
importance. There’s some excitability attached here. The rush on incoming
energy may sweep you off your feet temporarily although Saturn helps provide
grounding. If you have a planet that directly receives stimulation from an
eclipse within three degrees, look to the nature of that planet to further
describe the kinds of changes coming due and the people in your life that these
are connected to. My new book, Eclipses,
Predicting World Events & Personal Transformation.
would be a great tool to map out and track your eclipses and learn what they
mean. Best wishes and Happy Aries Eclipse, Celeste Teal 3-25-06
The New Moon of April
8th is a total Solar Eclipse. While a New
Moon shows important issues and the focus of attention for a four-week
period, a Solar Eclipse is like a super New Moon, revealing issues and
developments that attract attention for many months. Major events that are tied
to the eclipse may happen within days of the eclipse, but often occur later when
there is stimulation to the eclipse degree from transiting planets. Eclipses in
Fire signs are especially noted for bringing sensational events and this
particular Solar Eclipse is the most powerful we’ve had since 2002, going by
an easy formula that is outlined in my upcoming book, Eclipses, Predicting
World Events & Personal Transformation, due out early in 2006,
published by Llewellyn.
In the eclipse chart
cast for Washington, DC, this Aries eclipse falls in the 8th house
and on the USA Chiron. Other than its
focus on mortality issues and financial themes, this emphasis in the 8th
house of death forewarns of the death of an important person, a political leader
or one of nobility. (Click image to view a chart, then
hit the back button)
As the most angular
planet, Uranus squares the Midheaven degree, representative of the President and
there are many indicators that all may not be well. Retrograde
Mercury rules the Midheaven and the royal star, Aldebaran, which is
associated with violence and sickness, aligns with the angle. Within days of the
eclipse, transiting Uranus opposes President Bush’s Mars as it also squares
the USA Uranus for the first time since 1963-64. Uranus is known to bring sudden
unexpected events and a square is the most 'event producing' aspect. The indicators are that he could come under sudden danger or
be involved in dangerous activities in the coming months. His progressed Sun is
also receiving an opposition from Uranus, associated with sudden reversals and
Uranus opposing Mars often corresponds with explosive energies. Pluto transits
his Vertex, associated with fated or
destined encounters. By mid July, his progressed Moon squares both
progressed Sun and natal Mars as it also receives the square from transiting
Uranus, so there is mounting tension for impulsive actions and dangerous
scenarios.
The Aries Solar
Ingress chart cast for Washington also shows a Mars to Moon opposition in the
angular houses. Along with suggestions of war, military activity and dealing with enemies, this
configuration also implies that someone prominent could become ill or die.
Financially, trouble
looms ahead. The eclipse falls in the 8th house, which rules public
income and earning power, chiefly from investments and assets in stocks and
bonds. The 8th house also rules interest rates. There are changes in
the nation’s earning power, changes affecting assets in property, stocks and
bonds. Financial relations with foreign countries are troubled with Saturn
square the Sun, Moon and Venus, and there is general depression affecting trade.
Banks and businesses are less than prosperous and there may be loss of revenue,
financial failures and depreciation in the value of stocks and shares. As ruler
of the 2nd house, relating to the property of the people and
financial transactions, Venus is in the degree of the fixed star Baton Kaitos,
associated with shipwreck and depression. Its square to Saturn suggests losses.
Jupiter, which is in a critical
degree, is square Saturn, suggesting heavy bankruptcies. Jupiter, indicating
heavy expenditures, is also unfriendly to the Sun, Moon and Venus, adversely
affecting taxes and commerce, and attesting to scandals and mysterious
crimes.
The matters of the houses ruled and occupied by
a planet in a critical degree
are grave, serious, and climatic so Jupiter’s rule of the 4th house
also reveals that building could suffer. Pluto in the 4th house
points to changes in the housing market and Saturn’s position on the 4th
house cusp of the Aries Solar Ingress chart depicts depreciating real estate
values this year.
The critical degrees
indicate stress and climax when falling on a house cusp and these degrees also
fall on the 11th and 5th house cusps, both of which are
related to the Stock Exchange. This eclipse falls on the Moon of the New York
Stock Exchange chart, suggesting increased fluctuations in activity on Wall
Street or perhaps changes within the organization.
This Aries Solar
Eclipse also significantly impacts the charts for the White House, the United
Nations, Iran, Mexico, Japan, and Egypt.
We are in an
earthquake zone, astrologically speaking. The coming Lunar Eclipse of April 24th
in Scorpio plays up themes of thunder, lightening and earthquakes occurring in
the world, perhaps figuratively and literally. For the US, the Lunar Eclipse
emphasizes financial relations with foreign nations and this eclipse is also of
significance for the NYSE, Afghanistan, Iraq, Mexico, North Korea, and Russia.
There is a connection
between this Aries Solar Eclipse to the last Solar Eclipse in October. There it
was noted that there would be the death of a well-known and notable leader. Now,
as that eclipse receives stimulation from the Sun, Pope John Paul II will be
laid to rest. It is of interest
that the Pope was born on the day of a Solar Eclipse and will also be buried on
the day of a Solar Eclipse. The trine of Mars to Jupiter is fortunate for such
public ceremonies.
The close connection
of the Sun, Moon and Venus plays up themes of important engagements and
marriages, such as that of Prince Charles and Camilla, but the square from
Saturn rather puts a damper on the festivities and suggests that
responsibilities interfere with plans. Already, the royal couple has had to
postpone their wedding to attend the Pope's funeral, so we can observe how this
Saturn influence impacts other high-profile unions over the coming months.
While it looks like
eventful happenings in April, the Aries Solar Eclipse is stimulated in early
July by the Sun and Mars, a peak period for related events, in early September
by Jupiter, having to do with gains and losses, and again in early October by
the Sun and Mars. Look for these times to produce events that are connected to
the eclipse themes.
In your own chart,
find the house that is energized by this
eclipse. That department of life comes strongly into focus and the issues
represented by the house are due for changes. If you’ve put off handling these
issues in the past, an eclipse provides the necessary catalyst to deal with them
once and for all. If the eclipse falls on a house cusp, or even on a house cusp
of your current Solar Return, look for the affairs of that house to produce
activity. If the eclipse occurs on one of your planets, look to the
nature of that planet and the things and people it represents to learn more
particulars of where change is due to occur. One bit of caution: it is generally
not recommended that you implement grand new plans near the day of an eclipse.
The atmosphere is peculiarly charged and unsettled by unseen forces at this
time, making it less stable for achieving desirable results. Remember too that Mercury
is retrograde until April 12th. Best wishes, Celeste Teal

On Friday morning, 7/14/00 (10:24 am GMT), the Sun violently erupted. This solar ejection of flare, energy, heat and wind into space was the largest since 1989 exceeding the energy of the highly noted, displayed and touted flare of early June this year. The energy of this event now continues to affect Earth and alters the upper levels of the atmosphere. Not only might satellite (and communication) disruption occur, power outages, short wave radio and navigational signals might all be interrupted. Given that each of these refers to a direct physical metaphor in life, there's even more to consider.
Should you have been flying during the intense energies, you would have received free bonus radiation equivalent to approximately a chest x-ray. Who knows how this kind of stimulation affects the aura, Chakras and
Kundalini. Well, you do. You've been feeling that sense of hyper-tension, hyper-electricity, hyper-stability in the way you've sensed your world since Friday. Some things feel like they're getting blown wide open. Then there's the spiritual protection system which relates directly back to body functions. I refer to this as the hyper-sympathetic system (you know, like the sympathetic and parasympathetic body response systems). This system goes into overdrive when one's soul feels sufficiently challenged by life circumstances. The point of the matter, choose in a good way - a way that renders life options feeding your spirit.
Another possible manifestation of the solar energy should be erratic and shifting weather patterns as the week progresses. Pay attention to your plants and avoid camping in Western Canada (Friday's tornado ravaging a campground).

The celebration outside the Staple Center turned into
violence last night as hundreds of Lakers fans became unruly following
the game against the Pacer’s to give LA the NBA championship for the
first time since 1988. Some 45 minutes following the game, the
excitement of the win turned into mayhem as bonfires were set, a police
car and news van were torched and businesses vandalized. Several
injuries and arrests resulted as well as extreme property damage. Much
of the rioting was aired on the news less than an hour following the
game.
In the Los Angeles birth chart, Pluto resides in the
fourth house, suggesting crisis conditions and struggles over sharing
the home turf. As in the Los Angeles riots in 92, which are detailed in
my book, this Pluto placement seems to be a key for such outbreaks of
violence by citizens. There appears to be rebellion against authorities,
structures and containment from various features in the chart. The very
appearance of police on the scene to ensure the safety of the people is
likely to have been what initially stirred the wild retaliation, with
the torched police car one of the first vicious acts.
Taking a look at the current chart for LA, there was
wild excitement brewing and the transits triggered important
progressions. Calculating the transits for 10 PM, the time that the
volatile but mostly peaceful celebration took a violent turn, one
notices that the transiting Ascendant has just moved across the LA Mars
to align next with Pluto. The transiting Moon is exactly conjunct Pluto,
showing the abrupt mood change of the crowd. Click the image above for a full
chart view.
There
are way too many exact aspects to detail here and I invite you to
explore the chart yourself. Some of the prominent features are the
transiting Sun upon progressed Uranus, which is now opposite progressed
Jupiter. Transiting Mars is conjunct natal Uranus, which is now opposite
progressed Saturn. Mars is also square natal Moon and progressed Moon
has come to oppose natal Venus; social events. These two are square the
point of the upcoming eclipse. Progressed Mars has come to trine natal
Pluto and in this case boosts the wild abandonment of the fans.
Transiting Mars and the Sun acted as the timers to release the
potential. Learn more about Mars
Transiting Aspects.
There
are several ties of Jupiter with Saturn. Transiting Saturn is opposite
natal Jupiter and the progressed Jupiter and Saturn are in conjunction
as they are in the current transits. Also notice that the transiting
Nodes have come to square the natal nodes, frequently corresponding with
eventful activity and at the time the rioting began, the South
Node was conjunct the transiting Ascendant, suggesting the reflex
actions of the crowd from that point forward as all these excitable
conditions were stimulated. Learn

The Fourth of July is likely to be a lively time this year,
perhaps because it will be the first celebration of our Independence in the new
millennium. Just following a Solar
Eclipse on July 1st, there is a heavy accent of planets in the sign of
Cancer, associated with family, home and domestic affairs. The eclipse falls at
10 degrees of Cancer and will be more or
less personally significant depending on whether or not it makes a major aspect to
a personal planet
within 3 degrees. Some general impressions
of the eclipse energy follow.
A lot of people will stay close to home in family
get-togethers, which are especially satisfying for us now. Couple’s will tend to be mushy; some undergoing a
re-blossoming romance in their marriages and there's an emphasis on going
inward and spending quality time with one another to re-discover and reflect on
how well we balance. We may notice that this is a foundation we rely on and get
our strength from and should not take so for granted. All in all, we get special
enjoyment from family occasions and become reunited. Emotions run high in
any case so tempers could flare with a family member the target. Think before
speaking as misunderstandings may not be so easily cleared up.
The holiday falls
just in the middle of Mercury’s retrograde
period and with the influence of a Solar
Eclipse and Mars, there are some fireworks
in the making. Just be careful of getting too close to the house with them. With
Mars in the picture, there is some potential danger of accidents around the
home.
*See LA Fireworks, where
numerous Lakers
fans turned violent outside their home stadium, a negative manifestation
of the less desirable potential suggested by this eclipse.
Mercury rules youngsters, so check new products
carefully, watch them around the swimming pool and watch what they eat. Food
contamination and recalled products are likely and I don't mean to sound so dire but I
don’t think I’d trust that potato salad that’s been sitting out.
Also,
these configurations in the heavens suggest an interruption of utility services
in the home, loss of electricity or phone lines. Of course this is more common with
Mercury retrograde and I haven’t
checked the Discovery channel lately but there were
solar flares* expected this
year that could play havoc with cable, satellites, etc. With all this activity
from the eclipse, from Mars and with Mercury
retrograde, it would be a prime time for it. At least we prepped
for those problems at y2k and probably still have extra batteries.

western states in the months following this eclipse were suggested by that

The December 22nd Full Moon was a
beautiful sight. Occurring coincident with the first day of winter,
our Winter Solstice and longest night of the year - this was the last Lunar Harrah
of the Millennium! The
Moon was within a few hours of its perigee, its closest point to the
Earth. This made the Moon appear larger than usual. Also just ten days from the Earth's
closest point to the Sun, the reflected
sunlight made this Full Moon brighter than usual. The last time this
particular configuration occurred was 133 years ago. Click image for a
full view.
This photo of the spectacular Full Moon rising over
Manhattan, by Chang W. Lee, appeared in the NY Times 12/23/99. Tides were higher, animals friskier,
and this dynamic Full Moon reflected the group excitement and our
very entry to the New Millennium. A Full Moon also brings a completion, so
anticipation/anxiety about y2k reached its peak and by
the New Moon of January 6th, we were ready to begin a new cycle.
Having already
noted the unusual significance of planets occupying an Aries Point degree,
I was delighted to have the opportunity to observe the last Lunar Hurrah
of the century.
With the Sun at the 0 degree
of Capricorn and the Moon at the 0 degree of Cancer, dynamic and broad
scale events were suggested, so reflective of this most celebrated time
in our history the world over. The level of excitement at anticipating the y2k transition and the
transition itself was mirrored in the configuration. Was not everyone
around the world tuned in to see how each time zone held up for the roll
over?
If there were to be
ramifications from y2k, the countries, businesses, cities and even individuals with a natal
planet in one of the Aries Point degrees would have been most likely to
have experienced them. As a matter of fact, I was one of those people
and I have to say just a bit nervous. Ok, I made a lot of backups :)
Sure enough, on New Years Day, my web site and host site were both down,
apparently just from precautionary measures, but y2k related
nevertheless. I'm certainly not complaining though.
The Aries Point degrees are also associated with fame and
falling in appropriate configuration with natal planets in these
degrees can bring a sudden rise in status. I said we should expect many new names
in the news and a
surge of news breaking events as well as the fruits of articulately laid
plans. All of these did take place, with the eight-day hijacking, US
border arrests of potential terrorists, tightened security at all
levels, etc.
(Incidentally, I just found out that Judge Judy
has Neptune in an Aries Point. At 0 Libra, Neptune rules her 6th Solar house of work and service
and what a fast rise to publicity she's had. Go Judge
Judy! Read more about the Aries
Point in the article called Fame & Popularity
where Walt Disney's chart is one of several
featured. Medium James Van
Praagh also has two chart features in Aries Point degrees - Link to Sixth
Sense.)
Earlier in the year, I'd noticed that
transiting Mars on y2k eve was opposing the Solar eclipse of February
99. Combined with this Full Moon, there was definitely some risky
potential. It looked like maybe military intervention or even martial law to avoid
terrorism. Look at how close at hand these things came and the strident
preventive efforts
of law enforcement agencies was a positive utilization of the potential.
Also on the night of December 31st,
however, Mercury came to the 0 degree of Capricorn, reinforcing the earlier Full Moon
and it was very well-aspected. Ruling communication, Mercury
was fairly insuring a successful y2k transition overall. In Capricorn, ruling
big business and the government, it looked very good. In particular,
it appeared to give support to the efforts of so many authorities working toward the same goal.
With combined efforts, all those potentially hazardous energies were
directed to the best
possible advantage and our preventive measures worked beautifully. This
is the way astrology is supposed to work. A pat on the back to our
global tribe!
The Aries Point degrees are the 0 degrees of the Cardinal signs (Aries,
Cancer, Libra & Capricorn). I have to say it's one of my favorites for predictive purposes.
A planet in any one of those cardinal 0 degrees practically tells a story all by itself.
