November/December U.S. Forecast & New Moon Report
The New Moon and Solar Eclipse of November 25, 2011 falls at 2° Sagittarius. A Solar Eclipse in Sagittarius brings an accent to travel, education, religious and legal affairs. Universities and institutions or publications to do with science and invention are ruled here as well as matters at a distance. Changes and new developments impact upon these subject matters in the year ahead.
The trine of New Moon to Uranus is innovative, suggesting new technology and excellent for persons in occupations ruled by Uranus. New Moon square Mars arouses excitement and is generally quarrelsome. New Moon square Neptune reflects disorder, confusion or possible failure of measures. Jupiter inconjunct the eclipse suggests confusion over legal or religious matters.
In the chart cast for Washington, D.C., the eclipse falls in the Third House. This shows an increase of travel and important travels of prominent people. This house rules all forms of news dissemination and transportation as well as those who work in these sectors; writers, publishers, educators, newspapers, Post Office, telephones, Internet, travel and aviation. Eclipses show where transformations are taking place, sometimes forced alterations or corrections.
There are several difficult links noted in the chart. Virgo is rising and there are Mutable signs on the angles, indicating a period of transitioning. As ruler of the chart, Mercury is retrograde on the cusp of the Fourth House while square U.S. Neptune conjunct the eclipse Ascendant and opposing U.S. Mars on the eclipse Midheaven. The general tone and atmosphere seems to be one of dissension, confusion and instability. There is unrest and tensions are high.
There is high unemployment and discontent among workers shown by Retrograde Mercury in the Fourth House. This appears to be behind the Occupy Wall Street movement, where here, retrograde Mercury indicates some regrouping of protesters since many cities are cracking down on the “occupation” of parks and land. Pluto in the Fourth complicates matters connected with land and important buildings. Continuing clashes between demonstrators and police is suggested by eclipse Mercury opposing U.S. Mars.
Eclipse Mars is square U.S. progressed Uranus while opposing U.S. progressed Sun. This eclipse at 2° Sagittarius stimulates that progressed aspect, which is a turbulent influence with danger of riots and lawlessness. Eclipses in a Fire sign are quite excitable, capable of producing sensational events. The duration of an eclipse is lengthy and with the revolutionary square of Uranus to Pluto adding fuel to the fire, it appears to be a period of great discontent. There are multiple indicators of dissention and unrest. Crimes may be directed toward a prominent person. Mars in the Twelfth House shows an increase of crime and concerns about secret enemies.
It will be a difficult time for the President to handle all the responsibilities of his office and commitments made. Party differences widen and there are quarrels at home or with other countries. Uranus in the Seventh trine the Sun suggests actions taken to extend U.S. power in the world but as a result it creates upsets or complications with other nations.
Retrograde Mercury rules the Tenth House, a bleak indicator about the country’s leadership and the nation’s reputation in the world. This is the house that rules the government and leaders as well as the nation’s prestige and status among other nations. Leadership appears weak and ineffective. This could be an early signal of how difficult it may be for Obama to get reelected. (Click the image to view the chart, then use your back button.)
There are high national expenditures and financial fluctuations. Bills come due. Critical or difficult changes affecting financial affairs may come about with Jupiter opposing Saturn.
In weather, there are extreme weather patterns noted with Pluto in the Fourth House. There is a mixed bag here with Mercury on the cusp showing wind and Venus increasing moisture, snowfall or freezing rain. Severe weather is indicated.
There are Moon Wobble effects on December 6, 2011. That is when the Sun aligns with the lunar North Node in the same degree. As a result, this may be a time of important news and events.
The things shown in the new Moon often starts to show fruit at the Full Moon. This month’s Full Moon is a Lunar Eclipse, falling on Saturday, December 10 at 18° Gemini. The eclipse is square Mars once again. It’s an edgy time. Emotions get in the way of finding solutions or agreements. Information overload may contribute to uncertainty or indecisiveness. Air sign eclipses can raise the potential for sociological disturbances.
In your own chart, note the house where this eclipse falls. This house and the opposite house show where transformation and changes are due to occur. We are progressing at a somewhat intense pace in these affairs. Relationships with people ruled by these houses may be undergoing changes as well. If things have been put off in the past in regard to the matters or people ruled by these houses, events may now force us to make changes. If you have a planet in early degrees of Mutable signs, this eclipse will form a hard aspect to that planet. That makes the eclipse more personal. Depending on the planet and its nature as well as the type of aspect formed, the eclipse informs of specific trends and activities ahead. My book, Eclipses, goes into descriptions of eclipses to natal planets, of either a helpful or detrimental nature. If you have planets in early degrees of Aries or Leo, this eclipse will form a trine to it, which should inform of specific kinds of activities that are favored or show opportunities.
For those who are directly impacted, the eclipse itself suggests progress and innovations, but there is a risk of being overly quick to act, which requires self-restraint. It’s a good time for making planned changes, however, due to Jupiter’s aspect there’s a tendency to take on too much, promise too much, procrastinate too long and to then become careless or make errors in a rush to make up for lost time. Cultivate calm. Due to the rush of energy coming into the atmosphere at the time of an eclipse, with a tendency to react to situations in defense mode, it is generally recommended to hold off on making major life changes within several days either side of an eclipse. This is especially something to keep in mind now since Mercury is retrograde until December 13, 2011. Think things through carefully before making declarations! Wishing you a safe and happy holiday season! Celeste Teal 11/21/2011
